Adult Classes


Kyoshi Armando and Sensei MikeIn our Adult Karate classes we focus on self-defense, physical fitness and traditional martial arts. We teach a mixture of Kyokushin Karate, Aiki Jujitsu, weapons, and Shaolin Kung Fu. Due to the fact that we do so much cross training, our students become well rounded martial artists. The benefits of martial arts are vast. Whether you want to get in shape, build self confidence, or learn how to be able to protect you and your family, our class will give you that and so much more. Our instructors have over 25 years of experience in the Martial Arts. We limit our class size to make sure that we can give personalized attention to each student.

Sensei Mike working with studentsOur Adult class is for students as young as 13 and you are never too old to start training. All classes run approximately an hour. The dojo (training facility) floor is covered with 2 inch thick matting and has 12 foot ceilings. There are several training aids on hand for the students to use, including heavy bags, live and practice weapons. We also have sparring equipment for empty hand and weapons training.

The American Kyokushin Karate Organization was one of the first Kyokushin organizations to embrace extensive cross training in Judo, Jujitsu and Kung Fu (Wu Shu). This type of training gives us a solid foundation in punching, kicking, grappling and throwing techniques. In the last 15 years it has been made abundantly clear that cross training is extremely important in a self-defense system. Our goal is to know and teach the best mix of martial arts available.
